What is a home warranty and what are its benefits?

Are all services available in my area?

Did you know most warranty companies only cover somewhere between 25-38 states? Not us. Based in Texas, we offer services in all 50 states. And if, for any reason, we are unable to get a  vendor to service your home within our network, you may use a vendor of your choosing nearby.

Will I have a max number of claims or total claim amount per a year?

There is no set limit on the number of times you may use our service or submit claims, but there are top limits on repair or replacement costs depending on the individual items covered by your plan. The limits will vary based upon the plan chosen. Please see the terms and conditions for more details.

Is there a waiting period?

We have a 30-day wait period to help protect us from pre-existing issues. This waiting period keeps plan costs down since we do not perform an inspection to determine the condition of your appliances and home systems. But don’t worry, during this time if anything changes (or you change your mind) we offer a full money-back guarantee.

Are warranties scams?

NO! You’re not the first person to ask this, though. And frankly, some competitors have behaved poorly in the past to make people hesitant. But a home warranty is not a scam. Our customers, on average, save about $1,700. But we don’t just help your bank account. We also provide peace of mind through protection from breakdowns in your home.

How do refunds work?

Depending on the plan and payment frequency chosen, you may be eligible for a refund of the unused policy premium. Contact us for more details!

Will my service person be certified?

All of our network contractors are licensed, pre-screened and pre-qualified professionals who are locally established in your area. We take the guesswork and shopping out of home repair. When something breaks down, call Hello Covered, and we will take care of everything.

How long will it take to get service?

We dispatch a service professional as quickly as possible! Our team makes all reasonable efforts to initiate service for non-emergencies in no more than 48 hours after the request is processed. For an emergency issue, 24 hours is the window. And don’t worry: our US-based call centers are open even on holidays and weekends.

Can I use my own service provider? 

Yes! One of the many things that sets Hello Covered apart. You may choose your own contractors! Just let the claims representative know that you would like to use your own contractor, and make sure that your contractor calls in for authorization prior to completing any repairs.
